The specs of the expected iPhone 8 have already been leaked; Apple has yet to announce the official launch of iPhone 8. The market is flooded with rumors about what the new iPhone would look like. A new rumor confirms that the much-awaited flagship of Apple; iPhone 8 would be equipped with an advanced security feature and would come with an iris scanner. The new technology would let the users unlock their iPhone 8 using their eye.
A report suggests that Apple is trying to prepone the launch of iPhone 8. The company has already requested its component and chip suppliers to start trial production, inspection and prepare the stock for the new iPhone series much before than the decided date. Deliveries of the parts and chips for the new models are likely to start from the mid of first quarter of 2017. While one report says that the production has been speeded to launch the iPhone before scheduled time.
Another source seems to be saying that Apple is sticking to its regular launch date which is around September this year. The ramp up in the production is to meet the demand of the device without compromising its quality. The feature of iris scanner was introduced in the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 which did not do as well as expected because of the heated battery problems. The feature is expected to make a comeback with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
Sources also named a specific company as Lumentum. The company is supposed to be the firm responsible for supplying new laser sensor for the upcoming iPhone 8 that could be used for depth sensitivity with Apple’s new biometric security technology. While one model of the new iPhone is thought to retail for more than $1,000 an investor report, released by KGI disclosed that a change in the 3D touch display technology would be responsible for the increase in the cost of production. In the same report, KGI also predicted that the models would have wireless charging technology. Wireless charging feature has not yet been added to any iPhone.
Other predictions for iPhone 8 include a glass body which would be held together with a stainless steel frame. The display size of iPhone 8 is yet to be officially announced by the company. Another exciting feature to be expected is the dual cameras at the back that would be of 16MP each with a quad LED flash and OIS feature. The front camera would be an 8MP camera. There would be several added premium features that would capture 4K high-quality videos.
The first generation of iPhone was introduced on June 29, 2007, in the market. Till date, ten generation of iPhone models have been released by Apple, and each of the models is accompanied by a major release of the iOS operating system. iPhones are one of the leading smartphones in the market, and in the US, the largest share of the smartphone market is acquired by iPhone.
