The Taiwanese electronics manufacturer AsusTek Computers Inc. has launched a number of different products since its launch. It is a well-known global player in the field of computer peripherals. Back in June 2016, the company had launched a budget smartphone that was dubbed as Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3. The phone has finally got it successor, and the company has named it Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3S. It has some changes in the design along with improved innards. The phone will come in two versions however at the moment only the 64GB variant is available in the market. The price tag of the phone is 1999 Yuan.

The phone features a 5.2-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with HD resolution at 1280 x 720 pixels. It supports multi-touch and has 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection.
Processor and memory
The phone packs 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 chipset coupled with the octa-core processor. It comes with 3 GB RAM and will be available in two variants based on internal storage that is 32 GB and 64 GB. You can increase the storage capacity up to 2 TB via microSD card.
The phone comes with 13-MP rear camera with an aperture value of f/2.0 along with LED flash module. The broad aperture and flash module combined are good enough for low light photography. It supports features like phase detection autofocus, touch focus, HDR, face detection, smile detection, and panorama. The phone also packs an 8-MP front camera for selfies and video chat. The company has included PixelMaster technology which helps in easing the photoshoot process and increase chances of getting a good frame.
The phone comes with Dual SIM support over 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks. It uses GPRS, EDGE, 3G and LTE bands for mobile internet. You can use the phone as a hotspot for sharing internet connection as well. The phone also supports other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It comes with VoLTE support which is a big deal these days in the market. As of now, the phone is not going to launch in the global market, but if it comes to India in future, VoLTE will be a big selling feature. The phone comes with a 3.5mm audio jack with FM support, and it uses microUSB 2.0 port for wired connectivity.
The phone comes with Android 7.0 nougat OS out of the box. It packs a massive 5000 mAh battery that can give 36 hours of talk time and 450 hours of standby time. The phone supports active noise cancellation with dedicated mic for better voice quality. It comes with a number of preloaded Google apps like Chrome, Gmail, etc. The fingerprint scanner on the phone can save up to 5 fingerprints, and it can also be used for authenticating payments online. The scanner is located under the home button however in the predecessor it was located on the back panel. The phone will compete with models like Lenovo Z2 Plus and Motorola Moto M.
