Chinese manufacturer Huawei is all set to announce their upcoming smartphone P10 and P10 Plus at MWC, 2017. Along with these two devices, another gadget that Huawei is reported to announce officially is Huawei watch 2. This is the successor of original Huawei Watch launched in 2015. The well-known leaker Evan Blass has provided some alleged press renders that reveals Huawei Watch 2 will carry a sportier look.
The upcoming Huawei Watch 2 will be different from its predecessor on various fields. While the earlier version had a very classy look, the successor will feature a sporty look. - Huawei Watch 2 is codenamed as ‘Leo’ which is expected to run on the latest Android Wear 2.0. As per the recent leaks, the watch will be available in three main colors. These are black, orange and gray.
- According to the leaker Evan Blass, Huawei Watch 2 will have a sporty appeal. The straps are made of rubber, and two physical buttons are located at the right edge. However, the previous reports suggested that the watch will have leather straps and stainless steel versions. But the recent leaks suggest something different.
- Onboard cellular connectivity is another feature of the upcoming Smartwatch. Another leak render confirms this feature. The watch features a SIM card slot, and this is for the cellular connectivity. This cellular connectivity feature will now allow users to make and receive phone calls from the watch itself. And this will not require the watch to be paired with a Smartphone. So, the need of a Smartphone to be connected with the watch is eliminated now. However, anything about the support for 3G or 4G LTE network is not confirmed yet.
- With all these a previous leak from January suggested that Huawei Watch 2 will sport a 1.4-inch display. And it will be a 42 mm smartwatch.
