Intex launched Aqua Classic 2 at Rs.4600/-


The Indian budget smartphone maker Intex has been introducing 3G and 4G phones almost every month now. The company is making sure that the consumers have every possible option in their hands in terms of an entry-level smartphone. Intex has launched Aqua Classic 2 in the Indian market and expanded its very popular Aqua series. The phone is yet another attempt to tap into the 2G and 3G users in India. Though the price war between telecom companies and mobile manufacturers is mainly concentrated on 4G these days, companies like Intex are introducing 3G phones to make sure no section is left unchecked.

Features of Intex Aqua Classic 2


The phone comes with a 5-inch TFT touchscreen display with minimal resolution at 854 x 480 pixels. It gives the pixel density of approx 196 ppi, and the screen-to-body ratio of the phone is 65.4 percent. It supports 2 finger multi-touch. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection which saves it from bumps and scratches.

Processor and memory

Aqua Classic 2 features 32-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with Mali400 MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. Out of the mentioned storage capacity, only 5 GB is available for the user to save files, etc. and OS and Apps consume the rest of the space. If you want, you can expand the internal storage capacity up to 32 GB via microSD card.


The phone has very basic cameras on the front and the back. On the rear end, it has a 5 MP camera with LED flash module. It supports features like autofocus, touch focus, geo-tagging, HDR, and panorama. The rear camera has a GC2365 sensor, 3P lens and the aperture value is f/2.8. It can shoot the photos in the maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The phone also packs a 2 MP front camera with the GC5005 sensor. Both front and rear cameras can shoot videos at 720p at 30 fps. The quality of the cameras is good for an entry level smartphone in this price range.

On the connectivity front, the phone supports DUAL SIM. It can accommodate a micro SIM in each slot. The phone can connect to 2G and 3G networks. It uses Edge, GPRS, and 3g for mobile internet. The phone can be used to share an internet connection by using it as a hotspot. In terms of other connectivity options, it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1, and GPS. It also packs a standard 3.5mm audio jack with FM radio support.

Other features

The phone runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow. It has G-Sensor, Proximity, and Light sensors for better control. The dimensions of the phone are 145.2mm, 72.6mm and 10.9mm. It comes with features like emergency rescue which are a type of SOS app and smart gesture which allows users to access different features with hand gestures. The user will get Battery, Screen Guard, Protection Cover, User Manual, Adapter, USB Charger and Earphones along with the handset in the box.

It is powered by 2200 mAh battery which can give up to 6 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. The phone is available in Champagne color at a price of Rs.4600/-
