Karbonn launched Aura Note 4G at Rs.6490/- with VoLTE support

The Indian mobile manufacturer Karbonn upgraded its three already popular handsets and introduced 4G variants recently. Along with K9 Smart 4G, K9 Viraat 4G, and Titanium Vista 4G, the company introduced a new 4G enabled handset as well. Dubbed as Karbonn Aura Note 4G, the phone is available in retail stores across the country. The MRP of Aura Note 4G is Rs.6490/-, and it is the most expensive phones in all four handsets. The innards of this phone are great for an entry level budget phone.

Display

The phone comes with 5.5-inch PS LCD touchscreen display with HD resolution at 720 x 1280 pixels. The display gives the pixel density of 267 ppi, and it supports multi-touch as well. It comes with unspecified screen protection that keeps it safe from minor bumps and jerks.

Processor and memory

The phone features MediaTek MT6737 chipset with a quad-core processor that clock at 1.25 GHz. The GPU unit’s specifications are not available in the description provided by the company. The phone comes with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. The phone runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow and has some preloaded apps as well. Combined, the OS and the apps take around 3.5 GB of the available space. Remaining space is available for storing media files and other documents. As mentioned above, the phone is a part of recently launched/upgraded set of four 4G enabled handsets. It can also connect to 2G and 3G bands. The phone uses Edge, GPRS and LTE technologies for mobile internet. The phone has VoLTE support too which is crucial these days as Jio is entirely based on VoLTE for voice calling. Also, Airtel is also testing VoLTE in some areas. It also supports other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. You can also use it as a Wi-Fi hotspot in case you want to share the high-speed mobile internet with family and friends or other devices nearby. The phone packs a standard 3.5mm audio jack with FM support. It uses microUSB port v2.0 as wired connectivity option. The same port is used for charging as well.

Other features

The phone packs a powerful removable Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery. It can give up to 10 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. The phone comes with an audio play that supports MP3 files and video player that comes with MP4 support. You can also install apps like VLC player for more options. It packs a document viewer and editor as well. The phone comes packed with apps like Google Talk, Twitter, Facebook chat, YouTube, Gmail, Google Search, Google+, and WhatsApp. Karbonn is providing a 1-year warranty on the phone.
