Lenovo K6 Power set to launch on November 29th in India


The Chinese company Lenovo has been in PC business since 2005. The company is actively manufacturing mobile phones since 2012 and has acquired Motorola Mobility from Google in 2014. All the Moto phones that are now coming to the market are an attempt by Lenovo to revive the brand. It also has a sub-brand by the name Zuk which has its own range of smartphones.

Lenovo’s K6 Power is all set to reach Indian market on November 29th, 2016. The K6 series was introduced during IFA 2016. It included K6, K6 Note, and K6 Power. K6 power is a mid-budget phone, and it may carry the Vibe branding, but it is not clear yet.

Premium design and processing

The phone features a 5-inch full HD touchscreen display. With the screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, it gives the pixel density of approx 441 ppi. The Lenovo K6 Power has a screen-to-body ratio of approx 69.1% and supports 5-point multi-touch.

It packs Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 1.4 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 505 GPU. The phone though belongs to mid-budget range, but the processor and GPU combo is good enough for high-end games and smooth HD video playback.

The phone is available in two variants based on SIM support, RAM, and internal storage. You can buy either single SIM phone or Dual SIM phone. On the basis of RAM and storage, it has one variant with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB space while the second one has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB space. In both the cases, the memory is expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card.

Operating system and optics

The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow. It packs great optics as well. The Lenovo K6 Power has a 13-megapixel rear camera that supports features like phase detection autofocus, touch focus, geo-tagging, HDR, face detection, and panorama. It also has a LED flash module which is very useful in low light conditions.

It comes with an 8-megapixel front camera as well which is good enough for selfies and video chat. Both rear and front cameras can shoot videos at [email protected]

Communication options

The phone works on all bands that are 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE. It supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as well. You can share high-speed mobile internet by using the phone as a hotspot. It uses MicroUSB 2.0 for wired connectivity.

More options and features

The phone packs 3.5mm audio jack and support FM radio as well. Lenovo K6 Power has a fingerprint sensor on the back panel which comes in handy to access the phone and apps. Lenovo K6 Power is powered by non-removable Li-Po 4000 mAh battery that supports fast charging as well. It can give up to 312 hours of standby time and 48 hours of talk time on 3G network.

The phone packs stereo speakers and also support active noise cancellation with dedicated mic for better voice quality. The dimensions of the phone are 141.9 x 70.3 x 9.3 mm and it weighs 145 grams. It is available in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey color options.
