LG Corporation is a South Korean company that mainly deals with a number of consumer electronics products. The company has spread its roots in more than 80 countries. The headquarters of the company are in LG Twin Towers building in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The company has a number of different products under its belt such as mobile phones, tablets, washing machines, music system, laptops, televisions, fridge, monitors, computer peripherals and much more.
The company has recently launched a new handset in the Indian market. The LG X Power launched in its home market about a month ago, and it has finally reached India. The MRP of the phone is Rs.15990/-, and it will be available in Black and Gold color options.
Features of LG X Power
The phone features a 5.3-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with the screen resolution at 720 x 1280 pixels. The pixel density of the screen is approx 277 ppi while the screen-to-body ratio is approx 69.4 percent. The display supports multi-touch and comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection that saves it from scratched, bumps and small falls.
Processor and memory
The company launched different variants based on the chipset and processor however it has launched only one model for the Indian market. The phone comes with MediaTek MT6735M coupled with a quad-core processor with all four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.3 GHz. It also packs Mali-T720 GPU that gives better gaming and video playback experience. The phone packs 2 GB RAM with 16 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256 GB via microSD card. The phone comes with a dedicated memory card slot that means the user does not have to choose between memory expansion and Dual SIM feature.
The phone offers good camera specifications. LG X Power packs a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash module and aperture value at f/2.2. The rear camera supports features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, auto shot, the film effect, the gesture selfie, the quick share, panorama and HDR. The phone comes with a 5 MP front camera as well for selfies. The rear camera can record videos at a maximum resolution of 1080p at 30 frames per second.
The phone supports Dual SIM connectivity over 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE bands. It also supports 4G VoLTE. The phone packs Wi-Fi chipset with 802.11 b/g/n standards. It supports file transfer via Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi Direct feature, and it can also be used as a hotspot for sharing internet connection. The phone supports Bluetooth v4.1 along with GPS. It comes with a standard 3.5mm audio jack and supports FM radio as well. For a wired connection, it uses microUSB v2.0 and supports USB-ON-The-Go as well.
The LG X Power runs on Android 6.0.1 marshmallow and measures 148.9 x 74.9 x 7.9 mm. The weight of the phone is 129 grams. It packs a powerful Non-removable Li-Ion 4100 mAh battery. LG claims that with Fast Charging technology PE+ technology the battery gets charged almost twice as fast as compared to other phones.
Amit Gujral who is the Marketing Head of LG Mobiles in India issued a statement on the launch. He said that LG is working day and night to ensure that the products make peoples’ life easier. 4G LTE is growing fast in India that means more video streaming, music playback and online gaming that requires a lot of battery power. The LG X power brings a powerhouse for the multimedia users, and as it charges very quickly, the phone is much better choice than the competitors in similar price range.
