Micromax launched Canvas Fire 6 for music lovers


Micromax is an Indian mobile manufacturing company that has established its roots in the market in a very short period of time. The company has expanded its product range with products like tablets, phablets, and TVs as well. Micromax often comes up with affordable yet very powerful handsets. The company has listed a new handset on its website by the name Canvas Fire 6. Micromax is promoting it as a smartphone for music lovers. The date of availability and the price is still unknown.

Features of Micromax Canvas Fire 6


The Canvas Fire 6 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels that give the pixel density of 294 ppi.

Processor and memory

It features MediaTek MT6735P chipset coupled with the quad-core processor. All the four Cortex-A53 cores are clocked at 1 GHz. It also packs Mali T720 GPU. The phone packs 8 GB internal storage along with 1 GB RAM. The user has an option to upgrade the internal memory up to 32 GB via micro SD card.


On the camera front, the Canvas Fire 6 comes with an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash module. The rear camera supports features like geo-tagging, touch focus; face detection, HDR, and panorama. It can shoot videos at a maximum resolution of 720p at 30 frames per second. The phone also packs a 2 MP front camera without LED flash for selfies and video chat.


The phone supports DUAL SIM over 2G, 3G and 4G LTE networks. It can connect to all three bands for mobile internet. For other connectivity options, Canvas Fire 6 has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, and GPS. For a wired connection, it uses micro USB v2.0 port.

The company claims that the new handset will get popular among a young generation that is fond of music. The phone packs a set of powerful 96db loudspeakers and amplifiers. It also packs B-Bass technology for high-intensity thumping. The low frequency 980 Hz sound output ensures superior sound quality. The phone packs a standard 3.5mm audio jack for attaching music output devices like speakers etc. It also supports FM radio.

Other features

The Canvas Fire 6 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It measures 145 x 73 x 8.3 mm and weighs 155 grams. The phone packs a powerful non-removable Li-ion 3050 mAh battery that can give 27 hours of talk time and 550 hours of standby time. The phone comes with unlimited phonebook and SMS memory. It has Accelerometer and Proximity for better user control. The phone supports active noise cancellation with dedicated mic. Canvas Fire 6 will be available in only black color.

With the increasing demand of affordable 4G handsets in the Indian market, Micromax had a good opportunity to launch a phone that can tap a group of people who love to surf the high-speed internet and listen to good music. The Canvas Fire 6 will solve the purpose of the young generation of India that thrives on getting their hands on a device that is affordable and has good innards.
