Micromax launched Canvas Spark 4G at Rs.4999/- on Snapdeal

Micromax is one of the largest mobile phone manufacturers in India. It has managed to establish the roots in pan-India market in a very short period of time. Micromax produces mobile phones, tablets, phablets, and TVs. The main reason behind company’s popularity is that most of the products have amazing innards but are priced at the very affordable range. Micromax has announced a new handset by the name Canvas Spark 4G. The phone will be sold exclusively via Snapdeal, and the MRP of the phone is Rs.4999/-. Snapdeal is taking pre-registrations for the phone, and it will go on sale from November 10th 12 PM IST.

Features of Micromax Canvas Spark 4G

Display

The phone features 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with the screen resolution at 1280 x 728 pixels. The Canvas Spark 4G comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and supports multi-touch as well.

Processor and memory

The phone packs a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. It comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. The memory is further expandable to 32 GB via microSD card.

Camera specs

The phone comes with 5-megapixel rear cameras with LED flash module. It supports standard camera features like autofocus, touch focus, face detection, smile detection, HDR, and panorama. Canvas Spark 4G can shoot videos at a maximum resolution of 720p at 30 frames per second. The phone also packs a 2-megapixel front camera without LED module. It is okay for selfies and video chat. Though the phone has 4G connectivity, the quality of video chat may not look as good as expected due to the low quality of the front camera.

Connectivity

The phone supports Dual SIM over GSM network. Canvas Spark 4G can connect to 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE bands. It also supports VoLTE for voice connectivity over the internet. The phone uses GPRS, EDGE and LTE network for mobile internet. For other connectivity options, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, and GPS. The phone can be used as a hotspot for sharing high-speed mobile internet. It packs standard 3.5mm audio jack with FM support. The phone uses microUSB v2.0 port wired connectivity and charging.

Other features

The phone runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow. The phone comes with accelerometer and proximity sensor for better user control. It supports active noise cancellation with dedicated mic for better voice conversation. It is available in Gold and White combination. The company may launch it on 10th with more colors.

Micromax has joined hands with Reliance Jio to provide the Welcome offer. It will support a free internet, voice calls, and messages till the offer ends. In the recent announcement, Reliance hinted that it might extend the welcome offer until March 2017, so it will be a good choice who wants to try Reliance Jio services.

In the last few months, the demand of 4G enabled handsets with VoLTE support has spiked unexpectedly. The main reason behind the demand is the entry of Reliance Jio. Most of the users want to try the services, but not all can afford expensive 4G phones. Those customers will get benefit from an affordable handset like Canvas Spark 4G. The main competition for Micromax in this price segment is from Lyf and Intex.
