One of the world’s most reliable mobile brands; Nokia is all set to make a comeback soon. Finnish company HMD Global has the branding rights of Nokia. Nokia’s non-compete clause with Microsoft was due to expire in 2017. Nokia will now work with Google’s Android OS instead of Microsoft Windows OS. Google’s Android OS runs on more than 86% of the smartphones.
HMD Global has been making preparations for the release of the new smartphones at Mobile World Congress, to be held in Barcelona. Media invites have already been sent out for the grand event scheduled on February 27, 2017. There are more Android devices lined up for launch in the same event. Nokia 6 has already been put up for sale in China.
The much-awaited flagship of the company Nokia P1 has been seen in a video leak. A channel on YouTube by the name of Concept Creator has released this video which shows what the new smartphone would look like.
What the Video has to Say
The video shows a smartphone comprises of a metal frame with glass on both sides but without bezels. There is a Home Button in front which might also have an Ultrasonic fingerprint reader. It is rumored that the Nokia P1 would have strong optics, featuring Carl Zeiss lens and a rear camera of mighty 22.6 megapixels.
The phone also has a hybrid dual-SIM slot towards the left edge, while the power and volume buttons are on the right edge. It also has a USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and a 3.5mm audio jack. All of which have been placed at the bottom edge.
The smartphone is thought to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC and a 6GB RAM and storage capacity of 128GB and 256GB. It is expected that the phone will run on Android 7.0 Nougat. It may also feature a 5.3-inch display with Gorilla Glass 5 and either HD or QHD screen.
In one of the early reports by Nokia China which were confirmed on Weibo that Nokia has been working on a phone that would have a battery of 3,500 mAh equipped with the latest Quick Charge 4 technology. Nokia P1 was seen in three colors in the leaked video which were black, silver and rose gold.
Nokia P1 128GB model is expected to be priced at approximately $800/Rs.54,500 while the 256GB model would be available for $950/Rs.64,700.

Nokia has always come up with good and reliable handsets. Although the setback in the company they seem to have come up now. There is much that is expected from the Nokia P1. The review and performance of the smartphone in detail would be available once the phone is open for sale. However, we are hoping to see a great Nokia smartphone with Android OS.
