Last month, Panasonic launched Eluga Tapp in the Indian market. It seems like the company is not in the mood to stay out of the news for long. The company has launched another smartphone by the name P71 in India. This will expand its portfolio further in the entry level budget phones. The new phone has the features that fall in sync with the latest 4G fever in the Indian market. It supports VoLTE which is Reliance Jio’s USP. Recently Airtel has also announced VoLTE services pan-India. The phone will come in two different variants based on RAM. The 1 GB RAM variant has the price tag of Rs.7,490 while the 2 GB variant has the MRP of Rs.8,190.
The processor and storage capacity improved
Panasonic launched P77 back in September. If you compare it with the new handset, Panasonic P71 has better innards. Talking about specifications, the phone features a 5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with HD display. It comes with 1.25 GHz quad-core processor. As mentioned above the phone comes in two different variants based on RAM which is 1 GB variant and 2 GB variant. Internal storage capacity is same in both the models. You can expand the internal storage capacity up to 32 GB with a microSD card.
The Panasonic has included an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash in this model. The phone also packs a 2 megapixel from the camera which gives okay results for selfies and video chat. You have to keep this in mind that this is a 4G enabled phone. The video chat will be seamless and glitch-free. But the camera quality may disappoint you.
The Panasonic P71 can support two SIM cards over 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE networks. The VoLTE support is also available on the phone. The features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS, makes it more useful and it can connect to home broadband as well. Use the phone as a hotspot to share your high-speed mobile internet connection. The phone comes with a 3.5mm audio jack with FM radio.
The Panasonic P71 has a powerful battery pack. It carries a non-removable Li-ion 2000 mAh battery which is enough for 8-10 hours of talk time. It runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow and measures 43x71x8.15mm while the weight of the phone is 138 grams. The company has included special software to optimize battery usage in the phone which regulated the power based on app usage. This helps in increasing the talk time as well as video and music playback time.
Panasonic has a good stand in consumer electronics. The company has been an active supplier of electronic goods in the Indian market and music players, and DVD players are famous. The mobile market for Panasonic has good scope in India. The demand for budget 4G phones is increasing every day, and the new handset will help the company in tapping some benefit for sure.
