Polaroid Pop Instant Digital Camera; Polaroid Hoop Home Security Camera Launched at CES

The instant imaging company Polaroid is famous for its iconic instant photos for a long time. The company is celebrating its 80th birthday in 2017 and the new products launched at CES 2017 are perfect for the occasion. The Consumer Electronics Show provides an amazing platform for the companies to showcase their innovations in the field of technology. Polaroid has always stayed ahead of the time and presented some interesting solutions to mix up the artistic history of photography with the latest technology.

During CES 2017, Polaroid has presented two main products. The first one is the Pop Instant digital camera and the second one is the Hoop Home Security Camera. The company has launched three products Polaroid Snap and Snap Touch instant digital cameras and its Polaroid Zip instant photo printer that use the ZINK Zero Ink Printing Technology. The new camera is using the same technology and prints 3×4-inch class Polaroid instant photos.

In the company’s portfolio, there is a good number of small and portable instant cameras. In fact, the company is famous for its mini instant cameras. Pop Instant is another addition to the same category. The camera comes with 3.97-inch LCD touchscreen display which can be used to frame the shots and to navigate through the camera options. The camera includes a 20-MP CMOS sensor along with a Dual Tone LED flash module. It can also shoot 1080p video.

The camera has dedicated microSD card slot which can hold up to 128 GB of memory. The images and videos are stored on the card. The camera also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities which enable the user to share videos and pictures with mobile phones by pairing the devices. The company has a separate app for both Android and iOS phones which help in managing the photographs, edit the prints with filters, digital stickers, various effects and other controls.

The company has provided an all-in-one solution for the users to capture and share photographs across multiple platforms. The Polaroid Pop has three color modes which the user can select before capturing the image that is Black and White, Color and Sepia.

Now coming to the security camera i.e. Polaroid Hoop wireless home camera. The camera is designed to keep an eye on your house. The MRP of the camera is USD 199 which roughly makes Rs.13600/-. The camera supports 1080p video resolution which ensures detailed video of your place. It comes with a wide-angle 140-degree lens that can cover a large portion of the room.

The camera is equipped sensors that can detect the difference between human and animals. You can set the camera to trigger an alarm when a specific element of the room like the door moves. The camera will send information to the user on his iOS or Android mobile. The user can choose where to save the footage i.e. on the phone or on cloud storage. You can retrieve the files from cloud storage whenever required according to the timeline. It comes with the base amount of storage which can be increased by paying additional charges.
