A recent leak on Weibo reported that the LG V30 would be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC and 6GB RAM. Snapdragon 835 is this year’s highly awaited high-end chipset.
The LG G6 that is in the queue to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress this year would be devoid of this new chipset. Samsung is the manufacturer for Qualcomm, and they would be securing the opening production for themselves.
The new flagship of LG V30 would also feature an upgraded version of Quad-DAC that the company had introduced in their LG V20 last year. The phone would also have a dual camera system on both rear and front. This would make LG V30 the first smartphone ever to have four cameras.
The Snapdragon 835 is a massive leap from the Snapdragon 821. The new chipset is far better than its predecessor in terms of both efficiency and performance.
According to sources, LG might launch the LG V30 after the second quarter, possibly this September. Sources also said that the flagship would have some more ‘mysterious’ features added. It is being speculated that the V30 will feature 6GB RAM which will undoubtedly promise some very nifty performance.
The market wouldn’t be smooth for LG as rival company Samsung is gearing up for its release of Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung has been dominating the markets when it comes to Galaxy flagship devices.
LG is a South Korean company and it has come up with some decent flagships since the onset of smartphones, but it is yet to rise to a highly competitive status among smartphone companies. With Samsung and iPhone being the Titans, LG has a lot of competition from other companies like HTC and Motorola as well.
With Smartphones getting smarter by the day, the only way ahead for smartphone manufacturers is to ensure that they innovate and come up with creative and advanced features with every new model. LG’s V30 is being geared up for a release sometime around the second half of the year. With smartphone users being thirsty for new and creative features in their devices, we are sure that a lot of users will be interested in what LG’s new phone will have to offer. While we prepare for LG’s latest entry, Samsung is also getting ready for the release of the Galaxy S8.
