Sony Announced Xperia XZ Premium With 4K HDR Screen, Snapdragon 835, And Memory-Stacked Camera

Sony has just announced their latest flagship Sony Xperia XZ Premium, the successor of the original Xperia XZ. The most recent inception of Sony is accompanied with numerous new features to call it as the flagship of 2017. Out of all the feature that makes it stands out is the inclusion of 4K HDR Display. Sony Xperia XZ Premium is equipped with a big 5.5-inch 4K HDR display. So, this is the world’s first mobile to debut with 4K HDR display. And for this Sony has partnered with Amazon to have the 4K HDR content. There are many more in the list to be explored. The features of Xperia XZ Premium are explained in more details below.

Features of Sony Xperia XZ Premium:

  • The latest Smartphone from Japanese manufacturer Sony is equipped with a big 5.5 inch 4K HDR display of 2160×3140 resolutions. The pixel density of the display is huge, 800ppi. So, the pixel is almost double of the iPhone 7.
  • Under the hood, Sony has integrated the Qualcomm’s 10nm Snapdragon 835 processor. Also, it packs 4GB RAM along with 64GB storage. This processor from Qualcomm is made to offer excellent performance than the Snapdragon 810 or 820 processor. Snapdragon 835 is reported to offer 27% better performance with 40% less power consumption than that of Snapdragon 810.
  • Another interesting feature to leave everyone spellbound is the integration of Motion Eye camera system. The camera is also featured with stacked memory to produce high-quality images. The inclusion of 19MP sensors made the device ready for quicker photo taking. Shooting 4k video is also done through the camera. The new Motion Eye technology allows users to capture super slow motion footage at 960fps. But the rapid bursts will last only for 0.18 seconds. And the effect is really compelling as it is stretched out to regular 30fps. The front facing camera is 13MP which let users capturing 1080p HD footage.
  • This device is rated IP65 and IP68. So, resistant to water and dust is another notable feature of Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
  • As far as battery is concerned, Sony has integrated a powerful 3230 mAh battery. It boasts the quick charging support.

Anything about the price of this latest Smartphone from Sony is not yet disclosed. And even though the company just unveiled their device, but it is not expected to go on sale before May. So, users need to wait till then to get their hands on the device in real. It will be available mostly in two color variants, Blue, and Silver.

Along with this Sony Xperia XZ Premium, another smaller version is also announced by the company. That is Xperia XZs, and this one too packs that Motion Eye technology. But the display is smaller than XZ Premium. The smaller version packs a 5.2 inch full HD display. Other features include water resistance, integrated fingerprint scanner, etc. Pricing of this device too is not confirmed yet. However, it is expected to go on sale in April.
