Sony launched MDR-XB650BT Headphone with Extra Bass feature


Sony is well known for its products in the music industry. They have produced some world class products and accessories to improve the experience for the users. Sony India has recently launched the new “Extra Bass” Bluetooth headphones in the Indian market. The name of the model is MDR-XB650BT. It is priced at Rs.7,990/-. The headphones will be available in most of the electronic stores across the nation.


The headphones come with a 30mm driver. It is incorporated with bass boost structure. It sports a dedicated Extra Bass diaphragm. The Headphones have a frequency response between 20Hx to 20,000Hz. The sensitivity range is 95dB/mW. Keeping you free from the wires, these headphones are powered by Bluetooth 4.0. It supports SBC, AAC, and aptX audio formats. It comes with an inbuilt microphone.

The headphones weigh around 190 grams. It is powered by built-In Li-ion batteries, DC3.7V. It takes around 4 hours to recharge batteries fully. The headphones can give a music playback time up to 30 hours. It has a waiting time of 300 hours. The 0.5m microUSB cable is bundled in the package. It is available in three different colors that are Black, Blue, and Red.

The company launched its Extra Bass series back in 2014. The demand of headphones falling in this series has increased tremendously over time. The previous models were extremely popular among music enthusiasts. Considering the popularity, Sony India has expanded the availability of the headphones in the more competitive price range.

The headphones are designed specifically to enhance the deep bass experience for the user. The increased contact surface area allows a stable fit that enables the headphones to withstand the punchy and deep bass notes. The engineers have concentrated on the comfort too. The soft ear pads are designed in such a way that they fit close to the skin. This gives the user excellent wearing comfort and well-balanced sound. The headphones are easy to store. The swivel structure allows the housing section to fold flat which makes them storage friendly.
