Xiaomi didn’t have much in offering lately. But rumors have started swirling about the company’s next flagship device. Coming in as the newest addition to the MI series, the MI6’s specifications have been leaked in various forms over the past few weeks. If the rumors are true, then the MI6 will be worth our attention this year.

Whatever the real specs may be, it is safe to assume that the MI6 will be a great beast. The release date has been announced to be 19th April. Although, nothing could be officially verified yet. Most of the Xiaomi lovers look forward to getting their first nougat flagship device.

The source of all the rumors is based on the Facebook page of Xiaomi. The first launch is scheduled to be made in Beijing. The device was thought to be launched at MWC 2017, but the company came up with MI 5C. MI 5C had its own lovable sides too, but the gap of MI6 couldn’t be filled. According to some reliable sources, MI6 is supposed to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Chipset, but it won’t be underclocked as the previous rumors suggested. However, another popular rumor is confirmed, it will have a 5.2-inch display with a 2.5D curved glass.

There are supposed to be three variants of the device; the basic would have a 4GB RAM with 32GB internal memory. The medium range packs the same RAM but steps up the internal storage to 64GB. The premium range offers a ceramic body, 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage.

The basic model is supposed to be priced at CNY 1999 while the premium device will be priced at CNY 2500. The teaser image released on the Facebook page had a Chinese caption written on the image. In English, it meant:-“203 days for you, 7 years for MI”. This picture stirred all the rumors to a very new level.

At this point of time, nothing can be said with a guarantee, until the Chinese tech giant verifies the facts. After many wrong guesses, the April 19 launch seems to hold some strong ground. So we the tech lovers can only count the days and keep on refreshing the Facebook page and official site of Xiaomi. There’s nothing much for us to do.
