ZTE Blade V8 Pro launched: 3GB of RAM and Fingerprint scanner

Zhongxing Telecommunication Equipment Corporation better known by the brand name ZTE is the fourth largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world. The company deals in Android smartphone and tablets. During the CES 2017, ZTE has launched a new smartphone. Dubbed as ZTE Blade V8 Pro, the phone is now available for pre-orders until January 17th. The price tag of the phone is USD 229.28 which is roughly equal to Rs.15700/-.

Features of ZTE Blade V8 Pro

Display

The phone features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels. It gives the pixel density of approx 401 ppi, and the screen-to-body ratio is approx 69.4 percent. The display has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and it supports multi-touch as well.

Processor and memory

The phone features Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 chipset coupled with octa-core Cortex-A53 processor that clock at 2 GHz. The phone also packs Adreno 506 GPU for better graphics and video playback. It comes with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage which you can further expand up to 256 GB via microSD card. The phone does not have a separate memory card slot that means it uses SIM slot 2 for memory expansion.

You cannot opt for both expanded memory and DUAL SIM support. In case you want extra space with expanded memory, you have to rely on cloud storage service providers like Google Drive or Dropbox. Alternatively, you can also opt to connect your phone to a central storage device over a wireless connection, but in that case, you may not be able to access the content on storage device while you are away.

Camera specifications

The company has added Dual-rear camera setup in the phone. It packs two 13-MP cameras on the back panel. The rear camera supports features like Phase Detection Auto Focus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, panorama and Auto-HDR. It comes with Dual Tone LED flash module which comes in handy while shooting photographs in low light conditions.

The phone also packs an 8-MP front camera for selfies and video chat. The rear camera can shoot videos in two resolutions that are [email protected] and [email protected] while the front camera can only shoot videos in [email protected] resolution.

Connectivity

The phone supports all available bands that are 2G, 3G, and 4G LTE. It can connect to the mobile internet via EDGE, GPRS, and LTE network. The phone also supports other connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It comes with NFC support for mobile payments and device connectivity. The phone packs a 3.5mm audio jack with Radio support. It uses Type-C 1.0 reversible connector port for wired connectivity and charging.

Other features

The phone runs on Android 6.0.1 marshmallow. The dimensions of the phone are 156 x 77 x 9.1 mm and it weighs 185 grams. The phone comes with a fingerprint scanner for faster access on the front panel. It packs a non-removable Li-Ion 3140 mAh battery which can give up to 552 hours of standby time and 24 hours of talk time. It is available only in black color option.
