.The Mobile World Congress, 2017 is just a week away, and millions of enthusiastic eyes are glued on it. ZTE has also revealed about its gigabit phone that would support 1gbps speed. Although the 5G technology is not yet available, however, ZTE’s smartphone would take the world closer to it.
The smartphone would handle 4G LTE connections till 1gbps which would enable its users to create the 360-degree video, panoramic and also comes with instant cloud storage.
ZTE did not disclose any other details about the upcoming smartphone. The announcement done by the Chinese company is just a teaser which means more about the made can be known only after its unveiling at the MWC, 2017.
ZTE is not the first company to have manufactured a smartphone with gigabit LTE there are others who have been trying to implement the idea. Recently Qualcomm announced a device that is capable of supporting gigabit LTE, the Netgear Nighthawk M1 mobile router, along with Ericsson, Telstra, and NETGEAR in Sydney. The device was equipped with Snapdragon X16 LTE modem.
Another flagship of Qualcomm the Snapdragon 835 processor would power the flagship smartphones of the next generation such as Samsung – would comprise of gigabit LTE capable of X16 modem which is a massive upgrade from that of the X12 modem in the present generation flagship chips.
Besides the gigabit phone that ZTE is talking about, there would be other smartphones from the company that would be showcased at the MWC this year. The Axon 7 which is likely to support Google’s Daydream View headset. The ZTE Quartz which is an Android Wear smartwatch with LTE connectivity are also expected to make their debut.
Several other companies such as Lenovo, Huawei, Alcatel, Oppo have events scheduled for the upcoming MWC, 2017.
ZTE Corporation, the Chinese multinational company, is headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong. The core products of this company are wireless, mobile phones, data telecommunications gear, optical transmission, exchange, and telecommunication software. Known as one of the top five largest smartphone manufacturers in China, ZTE also offers products like streaming media and video on demand. The company holds a good number of customers outside China. ZTE also has many customers from Chinese companies including China Satcom, China Netcom, and China Mobile.
